Their bright orange and yellow color and distinct “lobster-like” scent, has coined its name. Wonderful sliced and sautéed, or used in place of conventional mushrooms, lobsters are a gorgeous and flavorful addition to a wide variety of dishes. Wild mushrooms are loved by natural predators and inhabitants of the wild. Therefore, we strongly urge you to either prepare or freeze all wild mushrooms within 48 hours of receipt, so that they may be enjoyed by humans; and not nature’s wild mushroom lovers! As with all wild mushrooms, cook thoroughly before consuming. Store mushrooms between 32-34 degrees F, in a well-ventilated box with a paper or cardboard cover, and keep dry. Mushrooms neither produce, nor are affected by ethylene gas. Store away from odoriferous foods.
