Generally in season from late March through November. These bell peppers are prized for their uniform, virtually perfect shape, thick walls, and sweetness. Approximately 2-3 bell peppers per pound. Store between 50-55 degrees F, for best results. Susceptible to chill damage, do not top ice. Not all colors are in stock, call for availability. Holland bells are available in an array of colors: red, green, yellow, purple, lilac, brown, and white. They ship in 11# cases and are currently the finest bell peppers available. They are perfect for filling with egg, tuna, or chicken salad, as they will stand up nicely upon virtually any plate. The sweetest variety is the white, and generally the lighter the color, the sweeter the pepper. They do produce ethylene gas, but are not susceptible to it.
